No parent should experience the pain of losing a child to SIDS, or worry their child may be next.
2019 SIDS Summit
September 5th-6th
Hosted by Microsoft in Redmond, WA

3rd Annual SIDS Summit

Hosted by John Kahan, Chief Data Analytics Officer at Microsoft and Nino Ramirez, Director of the Center for Integrative Brain Research at Seattle Children’s Research Institute.

Please join us for our 3rd annual, 2-day SIDS Summit where we bring together top researchers and world-class data scientists to present their latest research on sudden infant death. In previous years, this format has proven to inspire new collaborations, insightful questions, and promote high-quality discussion.

Note that this conference is limited to invitees only (which includes researchers, medical professionals, data scientists, and members of select organizations). If you are interested in attending, but have not received an invitation, please email tatiana.anderson@seattlechilldrens.org.

John and Nino cover breakfast and lunch on both days, and unlike most conferences, we have no registration fee. If you plan to attend the dinner, please consider making a donation to help off-set the cost (approximate cost is $60 per person).

We will update attendees when this year’s agenda is finalized, but for reference, agendas from the 2017 and 2018 meetings are posted below.

We encourage all attendees to share their latest research and findings. If you would like to present, please submit a title and brief abstract when you register. Please note that we may not be able to include all submissions for an oral presentation due to limited time constraints. In this case, please indicate whether you would be willing to present your research in a poster format.

For those that received an email invitation, please complete the registration above by July 15th, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Transportation tips:
To/from airport: The conference is hosted in Building 92 on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA. The conference and Marriott hotel are about 20 miles from Seatac airport which takes 30-60 minutes by car depending on traffic. The most economical transport method is to book a Shuttle Express ahead of time. Otherwise, you could also take an Uber/Lyft (choosing the Express Pool / Shared option is cheaper) from the airport. We will arrange for a Microsoft Connector shuttle to transfer guests to and from the hotel/conference on Thursday and Friday.
