Cribs for Kids

The Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital is the official research component of Cribs for Kids.

Allies in the fight

Formed in 2017, the Aaron Matthew Foundation of Cribs for Kids brings together top medical scientists from around the world to help find the cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and prevent it. Annually, approximately 3,600 deaths are attributed to Sudden Unexpected Infant Death, a subcategory of this is SIDS, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Working together to stop SIDS

Cribs for Kids, a nationwide organization, is dedicated to preventing infant sleep-related deaths by educating parents and caregivers on the importance of practicing safe sleep for their babies and by providing portable Cribettes to families who, otherwise, cannot afford a safe place for their babies to sleep. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of every Cribette funds the research conducted by AMSRG.

The Aaron Matthew Foundation of Cribs for Kids is overseen by an advisory board consisting of Michael H. Goodstein, M.D., F.A.A.P., who sits on the board of Cribs for Kids and is a member of the SIDS Taskforce of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Nino Ramirez, M.D., who leads the Integrative Brain Research Institute at Seattle Children’s Hospital and John Kahan, President of the Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild.
